Waelzholz Italia and the service center Tempracciaio S.r.l., which was acquired by the Waelzholz Group in 2024, were merged into Waelzholz Tempracciaio S.r.l. effective July 1, 2025. Integrated processes and the concentration of expertise at a single location form the foundation for a highly effective, customer-centric service center.
Broad range of products and services: merger of Italian subsidiaries
“The merger of our Italian operations into Waelzholz Tempracciaio S.r.l. is a logical step toward further enhancing the high level of service we provide to our customers,” explains Luca Spirolazzi, Managing Director of the Italian subsidiary. All of the services provided by the former companies will be consolidated at the site of the former Tempracciaio S.r.l. in Caronno Pertusella, near Milan. “By bringing our operations together under one roof, we can further enhance both the depth of our services and how quickly we can respond to our customers. At the same time, the location offers us optimal conditions for future growth,” Spirolazzi explains.
Wide range of materials – proven expertise
The merged companies together currently produce a good 4,500 tons of steel materials per year. At the same time, the newly established service center, with 41 employees, can draw on the entire product range and expertise of the Waelzholz Group. This means that the site can cover any and all customer requirements, from standard grades to customized material solutions. “We offer the entire spectrum of the Waelzholz material portfolio and, thanks to our existing customer relationships, have established ourselves in the Italian market as a specialist in both cold rolled and hardened and tempered steel strip as well as stainless precision steel strip,” says Managing Director Spirolazzi.
Customized services from preprocessing to oscillate winding
“Our customers value us as a reliable partner for demand-driven services. For example, we cut steel materials to the final width specified by the customer, supply cut-to-length material instead of coils on request, and adapt surfaces and edges to specific customer requirements," says Spirolazzi, describing the wide range of services offered by the site. In addition to the conventional pancake coils, Waelzholz Tempracciaio also offers oscillate-wound coils with a significantly longer length of strip on each coil. This reduces the number of times our customers need to change the coils, which significantly increases their production efficiency. As Spirolazzi explains: “We offer an extremely wide range of services. There’s hardly a customer request that we can’t fulfill.”
